PET (Positron Emission Tomography)

Pet is the most effective diagnostic tool for the early detection of cancer, cardiac infarction, and Alzheimer's disease. PET Medical insurance for most diseases will cover PET examination. The image is obtained by screening the glucose(18F-FDG) gathering; 18F-FDG is injected or inhaled into the body. PET films this occurrence from outside of the body via sliced images of the brain or the heart activities.

MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a non-inversive technique for capturing 3D images inside the body and is particularly suited for evaluation of the brain, reproductive organs, and cardiovascular system. Patients receive no radiation exposure with MRI. We have two "Signa Infinity EXCITE 1.5T" machines which are presently the World's most advanced MRI. Filming time is shortened by less than half and the acquired image is much clearer than earlier models. MRI helps to find some benign or malignant diseases that are not easily depicted by PET.

Multi-Slice Helical CT

The World's most advanced CT, called "Aquilion", is useful for finding benign and /or malignant diseases that are not detected by PET. In addition, CT scanning can provide better information on tumor shape and its location, and is thus better than MRI for lung evaluation. CT captures a highly precise 3D image by rotating at 360-degrees for 0.5 seconds and scanning the body into 0.8 mm slices. With this form of real-time imaging doctors can diagnose cases faster than before.

Linac Radio Surgery System

In the field of radiation therapy, advanced equipment "MEVATRON"can treat disease without the surgery. Linac System uses this equipment and treats the lesion by X-ray irradiation without the surgery. Radio surgery system targets and spots the position of the brain lesion. It treats lesion by X-ray beam without the surgery.

Angiographic Picture

We have three of this equipment, which investigates the vessels all around the body. X-ray image of vessels is obtained by injecting the contract agent into the veins. If the aneurysm, tumor, and coronary occlusion are found, one of the treatments is to expand the artery using the balloon.

Bone Density - Body Composition Measuring with Lunar iDXA

This is the first Lunar iDXA in Japan and introduced in the Tokyo Clinic.
With its demonstrated vividness (or brilliance) and high resolution, it can measure not only bone mineral density but also anatomy and strength of bone as well as minute changes. This machine can also measure quantity of body fat and non-fat.

The information obtained from the Lunar iDXA imaging is especially helpful for diet control and sports medicine. Lunar iDXA is also helpful for preventive medicine, monitoring of patients with metabolic syndromes as well as anti-aging.

iDXA delivers crisp, high resolution images of all skeletal sites, revealing detail never seen before. It clearly renders the end plates on spine images and identifies intervertebral spaces easily.
